As part of our corporate social responsibilities (CSR), we at Ark Medical Centre distributed hand sanitizers and other health instruments to help amidst this unfavorable coronavirus struck season. Both the police, professional workers and other residents in our zone, Abeka LaPaz, Accra, benefited.
It was a Sunday morning. 29th March 2020. The sun had come out to say ‘Hi’ and share some vitamin D among other blessings, but we on earth were still not smiling. We had been hit hard, by the SARs coronavirus pandemic.
Ghana as at Sunday had recorded 152 cases with 5 confirmed deaths. And we knew we had to do something. Even earlier. So on the said Sunday, we went out stationed at vantage points at Abeka Lapaz and shared hand sanitizers, nose masks, soaps, etc to the police and the public.
This is what our managing director Pharm Stephen Boadu Appiah Jnr, said
“The coronavirus pandemic is wreaking havoc the world over and government is doing its best. We must all do our part and everyone has to contribute.
“As a health facility, we felt we should support our clients and the community at large”
“We started with distributing nose masks and tablets of vitamin C to our clients and climaxed it with this venture, distributing 3000 bottles of hand sanitizers to the community and essential service providers”
We also delivered some to the Tesano Police Station among other few places.
From the management and staff at Ark Medical Centre to everyone out there, we want to caution us all as a health facility: PLEASE STAY HOME so that we can all fight this pandemic and go to work again.
