The laboratory forms an integral part of Ark Medical Centre operating a 24-hour service all days of the week, including public holidays. It is run by a highly qualified and dedicated team of Medical Laboratory Scientists. Together, they provide a comprehensive analytical, diagnostic and advisory service in Chemical Pathology, Haematology, Microbiology, Immunology, Histopathology and Cytopathology.
Our laboratory services are provided in an ultra-modern facility equipped with modern sophisticated equipment that are well maintained. Accuracy and precision of tests are maintained by strict internal quality assurance programme which is reviewed daily.
We use data-processing systems to ensure that reports are delivered to clients on time.

Our Laboratory services include but are not limited to the following;
Chemical Pathology
This section is well equipped with modern state-of-the-art automated analyzers. The analyzers have a broad test menu including Renal function tests, liver function tests, cardiac enzymes, lipid profiles, blood sugar, glycated hemoglobin hormonal profiles, and tumor markers among others.
Hematology
This section includes laboratory assessments of blood formation and counts to evaluate many conditions including infection, inflammation, and anemia. Also ensuring that blood for transfusion is safe for patients to use. It is equipped with automated analyzers and many other support systems.
Histopathology/Cytopathology
This section involves the examination of biological tissues in order to observe the appearance of diseased cells in microscopic detail. This is undertaken by our pathologists, who are experts in the diagnosis of diseases.
Microbiology
This section is specialized for diagnosis in the area of bacteriology, parasitology, and virology. We perform standard analysis on specimens such as urine, stool, sputum, and blood for bacterial, parasitic, and viral infections to ascertain proper drug administration.
